05 Hemi dies while driving
Any help would be great!!
I have an 05 Hemi Ram with 44,000 miles on it. I just bought this truck 2 months ago. I only drive 5 miles to work so I don't put many miles on it. I love this truck except it keeps dying on me in the middle of the road. It happens pretty consistently once a week. It happens both while driving and just sitting at a traffic light. I have read all the help threads and already cleaned my throttle body, changed the cam position sensor, & changed the EGR Valve. The truck starts fine & idles fine normally, however once the truck has died it won't start back up unless I reset the ECM. It's like the truck has gone into a safe mode??? I called a local Dodge dealer & they offer no help! I never get any engine warning light.
Please help!!!

You need the PCM updated, 15 mins. at the dealer with the ScanTool.
Your dealer is copping out, EVERY Dodge dealer knows full well about TSB #18-013-05, which covers stalling under low speed, deceleration, slow turning and idle stalls in most '04 & '05 Rams and Durangos with the 5.7 Hemi engine. The PCM update as outlined in the TSB almost always fixes the issue.
An excellent read:
