Default 4.7 problems

i am have 2 problems i have a rough idle that kind of shakes the truck a little and idles the whole way down to 500 rpm but im not getting and check engine codes and also i have getting cold start tapping or knocking that is driving me nuts and it quiets down once it gets warm but does not go away completely someone please help
also i just had the whole timing set changed so thats not the cause of the noise

its a 2005 with 68000 miles

You can check this out but have to ever replaced the spark plugs and done other regular maintenance? As for the tapping or ticking, check all the exhaust manifold bolts for any that are broken or loose

like weed said, the tap or tick is usually an exhaust manifold bolt. that is with any vehicle, they are constantly shaking and can vibrate one loose over awhile.

As for the idle, have you cleaned your throttle body? Or looked at it even? And spark plugs either?
