Default The usual help me fix my truck

Well i blew the boots on my driver side cv axle, leveled+offroading= stuff breaks but looks are worth it. Anyway, are these replacement cv's from the local auto shop legit or are the some china crap? Also, i saw a you tube vid on how to replace it and from the looks of it i don't even have to remove my wheel. I just unbolt the axle nut, break the axle loose and pry the other side off the diff? Or is there a clip on the diff side? Im sure there is enough play with the suspension fully dropped to wiggle the axle out without undoing ball joints etc?

how do we know what axle your local shop is going to put in?

and I wont lie about the axle install. You might get enough play with the suspension fully dropped but push/pulling the axle out of the diff might be hard with the spindle in

and what makes you think if you go to a dealer and buy a CV that you aren't getting some China crap that has Mopar stamped on the box? Get you one at an auto parts store and stick it on...
