im about to swap a cummins in my mega cab hemi i have found two donor trucks one is the same year as mine which is 06 and the other is 04 but its cheaper would the same year make it any more easy or will it be the same amount of work

 

It would prolly be easier to just sway bodies ore whatever is least work. To be legal it would have to be the same year or new engine to meet emissions.

 

you would have a hard time going to an 04. The electrical system of the 06 is way different and would probably cause all kinds of electrical gremlins if you were to do the 04. Lights, radio, and just about everything else are controlled by a this. Could be a long drawn out project. If you can do the same year swap I cant see any problems especially having a mega since its practically a 2500
