Default question on engine trouble 2003 4.7ltr.

1. replaced head gaskets,worked fine
test drove on highway when you went into passing gear would not
go over 100 km engine light starts flashing

found push rod had fell out. put push rod back and still had the
same problem.

checked timing and found one tooth out of time.reset timing
and test drove. truck stopped and would not start. checked timimng
again and was right on,

took off drivers side valve cover and found 3 push rods had fell out

also have replaced crank and cam sensors

Any ideas of what could cause this problem!

Any solutions!

You obviously have some excessive worn valve train parts if your push rods keep falling out from under the rockers
