hey guys
I got a full sheet (48x96)of perforated stainless steel free to use from my shop at work! so i decided to cut my own grille and bumper insert with the CNC Waterjet that i use. anyways, i need to know; How does the insert bolt on behind the front bumper? do i need to make some kind of mounts (no problem, i do work at a metal fab shop )? pics would be SWEET.

 

probably some automotive grade double sided tape, bend the grill so it touches the back side of the bumper. You would be surprised how much crap is held on by that stuff from the factory.

 

Hmm.....you work at a metal fab shop and have a CNC water jet? You should have never told me that. PM sent!! LOL

 

eeeeeeeeegh? not to sure about taping.... it would be my last resort.

 

if your looking at how the instert gets put on behind the bumper my insert gets bolted down with the tow hook bolts

 

Mine is bolted from the top with four push clips, all plastic. It would be fairly hard to replicate. You need to see how aftermarket ones are fastened
