Default Bilstein stock shock replacement question

Hi everyone

Just picked up a 2007 TRX4 4wd with the 5.7. Great truck. Looking for stock replacement Bilsteins, I think these are them, Heavy Duty, I use it on the highway mostly so am hoping to just firm up the worn feeling ., heres the Bilstein numbers I found at shockwarehouse.com

Front
F4-BE5-E301-HD $68.95 each

Rear

F4-BE5-2550-H1 $68.95 each

free shipping to my po box in Blaine, WA

Already did a search and learned a lot but still hoping these are the stock replacements, maybe a bit firmer.

Thanks

Mark in Vancouver, B.C.

Hi

Question is:

Will these Bilstein HD shocks provide a good stock replacement for my 07 TRX4. I do not wish to change the ride height.
I use the truck for highway unloaded driving to Alberta from B.C. Occasional gravel/back road use and winter use.

Great site so far!!

A lot of guys love the Bilsteins. We have a polled thread on shocks and other things in our FAQs.

Shocks won't change the ride height unless you're bottomed out on them. Some folks think the Bilsteins are a bit too harsh. I put Monroe Reflex on my 4x2

i had a worn out front shock and replaced the fronts with bilsteins. it made a huge difference but keep in mind i had a blown shock.

just ordered the rear set from shockwarehouse a couple days ago. I love dealing with them. great web site can't be the shipping cost of free.

I've got the same series on my 2wd. They're definitely aggressive. You'll have no illusions of driving a cadillac. They ride very smooth with a load in the back though.

For 80% of truck owners, they're probably a bit too stiff. For me, I like them a lot. Great cornering shock. Very minimal roll. They hug the road hard.

I agree with ceri.....I've just put some Bilstein 5100's on my 03 about 6 weeks ago to replace my Rancho 5000's which had blown.
They ride very stiffly compared to the Rancho's and when you hit a bump, you will certainly feel it.
However highway driving is smooth and cornering is stiffer.
Not moved a load yet, but am confident these shocks will more than cope.
Al.

Love my bilstein's, had/have them on all 3 of my Dodge's weeks of getting the truck, last 2 dodge trucks I had, one cheap stock shock blown out, with in a week of getting the truck from dealer. Only midwest road driving.
