Default canister?

My "gaslight" on the dash keeps coming on. I changed the cap and unplugged the battery to reset the computer. About 3 days later the light came back on. I have read where guys have said the clamps have rusted off of their canisters. Where is this canister so I can check it out? I have a 2007 Ram 1500 with the Hemi.

There are no clamps on my lines from the canister, and the hoses look fine, no holes or cracks in them. Where does the hose go to that is headed up to the engine?

I have a "map" of the entire evap system in the FAQ section, you can trace all the hoses from that. But you're on the right track, it's almost always a split hose end of busted clamp...

Yep, split hose on the end at the nipple or loose from age.

Kudos for changing the cap first.
