Default Help with replacing a 2004 engine

I have a 2004 ram 1500 4.7L, my engine recently went out and when ordering a new one they asked if it had 16 or 32 teeth on the crank and if it had an egr valve. Is it year specific to these two or do you just have to check yourself? Thanks

2004 would definitely have a 32T. I'm pretty sure they started doing egr valves in 2004, but not certain

Dealers rarely know specific engine internal details. Someplace that builds and sells engines might though as that is their business
