Usually at the engine-end of the top radiator hose.

Default Bottom hose?

On My 2002 4.7 it is on the engine side of the bottom hose. It took me awhile to find it as I have never seen one there before. Watch out for broken bolts on the housing if it is there as I broke one of mine because it was really corroded. IT drilled out easy enough and was able to replace it. Just not fun and what was a 10 minute job turned into a 1.5 hr job.

Yep that diagram is for a Hemi, piece of cake to get to.

It's at the bottom in a 4.7 and a b*tch to get to.

I've got both engines...

Aside from just the stat, you also need to check coolant level, make sure both upper and lower rad hoses are not as well as all parts of the rad to try to identify where hot water may not be circulating
