Default Camshaft sensor issue

I have searched here before when I had my original problem with a camshaft error P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent and found some info that lead me to change the sensor. Well I changed it two weeks ago and the truck ran great for those two weeks. Then tonight after leaving work I started it and the check engine light came on. So I scanned it with my actron OBD II code reader that is kind of basic but it works and it was the camshaft intermittent error again. Truck started and ran ok but not as good as it was running for the past two weeks. Now I thought changing it would solve the problem but maybe I missed something. The connector looks fine and I cleaned it with electromotive cleaner prior to reconnecting it. Now some past threads there were a few that had continued problems with this and changed the sensor a few time with no luck. I prefer not to keep doing that. Gets kind of expensive. From what I have read the cam and crank sensor work together. Could the crank sensor be bad and not throwing a crankshaft error? And suggestions at what I should be looking for I would greatly appreciate..Thanks...Mike

I just want to add that I used a replacement sensor from autozone and not an OEM one. Another thought is that I am due for a spark plug change soon. Could this somehow cause this issue? Someone mentioned this in another post but no one elaborated on it. Thanks again...Mike
