Default Power Distribution Options

Ok I have an 06 mega cab. With a bunch of extra accessories.

For a while now I've been using a street wires distribution block to feed power to all of my relays instead of half a dozen rings and wires connected to the battery post.

Anyway. I have

Hid headlights
Hid fog lights
Hid reverse lights
Air compressor
Subwoofer amp
2 solenoid air valves
Digital gauges
Led halos
More auxiliary lighting
And I'm probably forgetting something else.

Some of those can simply be tapped into other power sources like the LEDs or something. But the hid ballasts, the amp and the compressor. Is there a better way than several rings off the battery post. Or is a distribution block the best way.

HOW DOES EVERYONE POWER THEY'RE ACCESSORIES AND ADDONS

thanks

In theory one distribution block should be ok as long as the wire going to it from your battery is a large enough gauge to handle the load of all your accessories. Considering that the amp takes a higher load on it's own, it should probably be wired directly to the battery and not through the distribution. Have you thought about adding a second battery? Not sure that you would even need it with what you currently have, but it might not hurt either.

Personally I have always felt better running my accessories through a distribution block. I just run a large wire from battery to block and then run everything off of the block (ie radios, switches, extra lights, etc). But I have never messed with HIDs so i dont know about those.
