When I put cab lights on my 2500 a few years ago...I ran a wire, for the cablights, to the parklights and soldered it to the hot wire for the parklights. Hope that helps.

I did mine in '05, long before I was on the forum and had no docs, so I didn't know about the wires in the pass. pillar (yeah I do have them though).

I ran mine down the driver's side pillar and out under the dash through the hole for the e-brake, you'll see it from the engine bay, it has a black rubber grommet around it. from there I went straight to the fuse box, tie wrapping it along the side. Used a test probe to find an unused relay block that was hot only when the driving lights were on. Has worked fine ever since.

There is also a wire in the little trap door on the side of the dash on the driver's side, you can see it plain as day when the door is open. There is a wire I used there to illuminate my temp gauge in my pillar that is also only hot when the driving lights are on. Don't quote me, was some time ago, but I think it was an orange/brown wire, I know it was orange with another color stripe though...

Download the manual for the 03 ram and look on page 8w-91-51 diagram 40. The circuit is laid out on page 8w-50-6.

Clearance lights come from Connector C206 (right side of instrument panel) on the SLT and above models. BKYL is + BKRD is ground.

If that connector is not in your model try to locate connector C219 (left side of instrument panel) and take it from there or splice S106(left rear of engine compartment) if those were not in c219.

Failing all that do as suggested above.
