Default please help! sprung a leak

I drove the truck about one hundred miles this morning. When I got home I noticed that there was a light oil all over the entire underside of the truck from were the rear driveshaft goes into the transfercase on back covering the rest of the truck. I cannot figure out were it is coming from. What is the thing to the drivers side of the rear of the transfer case. Maybe somekind pump? Looks like a rectangular black box with two or three hoses coming in to it. The oil has no oder and seems very thin. Man this sucks I hope i can find it, supposed to take the family camping on wednesday.

Ya pics would help. I think the only thing it can be is the seal were the rear driveshaft goes in the transfer case. I took out the fill plug and can touch fluid with my pinky finger. maybe a hair low. looks like the same fluid. I would imagine alittle of that goes a long way. anybody ever changed that seal? all the rest of the fluids in the truck are full as they should be. always freakin something.

The black box your describing with the two or three hoses going onto it is the charcoal canister for the EVAP emissions.

The charcoal canister was covered. It is right beside that seal. So has anybody changed that seal? Looks like maybe just pull the driveshaft and get old seal out and put new in. Hopefully, probably eaiser said than done.
