Bed Liner
I didn't say Line-X was better, I just prefer it. Since I put stuff in the back of mine and use shovels and what not, I believe that the Rhino Loner would gouge easier. This is why I prefer the harder Line-X. I've also seen Rhino fade over time where the Line-X didn't seem to fade as much. Just my observations.
Gotcha. Rhino sales some type of a finish you can apply to the liner if it starts to fade. I could see what you mean about the gouging. I have not had that experience, but I only had it applied about 2 weeks ago and have not had a shovel to it yet.
I had the Rhino on a 2002 Frontier. In the two years I owned it after getting it coated it was gouged, chipped, peeling, and faded. When I got my Ram I went with the Line-X. It's only been a few months but not a single chip.
I've had a Dodge drop in liner in my 95 RAM since, well, 1995. Despite the scratching of the paint, it still hasn't rusted and fallen apart like you would be led to believe. I have a drop in factory liner in my 2005 as well. I probably would have gone Line-X, but the truck already had the liner in it when I bought it off the lot.

I have Speedliner in my truck and I'm not too thrilled with it. It's already scrapped in a few places, and even though it's a life-time warranty, the dealer is about 30 mins from me so getting it there for repairs isn't the easiest of things. If I had it to do over again, I'd spend the little extra cash to get LineX.
I just saw a truck yesterday with an older Line-X liner and it was peeling up from the guys truck all over the place. It was also pretty faded. I wonder if it is in how well the place applies the material, or if it is just a matter of time before all spray in liners start to peel up. If that is the case it would make sense to go with the drop in liners. In my last truck I had the under the rail liner and then added diamond plate rail caps and tailgate cover. It looked sharp even after having it for 5 years.
The prep work makes the difference between a good install and a bad one. The spraying of the stuff whether it be Line-X, Rhino, etc. only takes a few minutes. It is all in the details and prep work.
I think the OEM Dodge liner fits like crappola! Especially for a "factory" product.
I would never have bought it. And, if it hadn't been a freebee thrown in to help assuage the negative aspects of the buying experience (long wait and screwed-up special order) I'd not have one. I'd go with Line-X. My $.02.
Oh, yeah... it was a pain to cut to install my Peragon cover correctly. But, at least it was soft and cut with a utility knife.
All the best.
