Default Changing rear diff fluid

How do you know what size the rear diff is? The service manual says for rear axle size 9 1/4 use 75w 140, for 10 1/2 and 11 1/2 use 75w90. Just want to make sure Im putting the right stuff back in that stuff is expensive!!

Oh and its for a 2004 1500 5.7. I think I saw on some paper work that i have 3.55 gears if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

ALL 1500's except Megacab's have the 9.25" diff that requires 2.25qts of Full Synthetic 75w-140
If you have an LSD, you can put in 2qts and a tube of Modifier to make the 2.25qts. You could do it to a non-lsd if you really wanted to cheap out on buying another qt for $20. You'll end up saving $13 or so.
