Default code p0700, p0876

went to leave work this morning and when i hit the break the truck kinda sputtered for a second and then the cel came on. hooked up the sc and pulled these codes
wanted to make sure i got these right
p0700 = general trans code
p0876 = underdrive pressure switch

and from what i have been able to gather the solenoid pack is gone and needs to be replace

That would be the cheapest and easiest place to start other than making sure you have the correct amount of fluid in there?
If it's not the sensors then your trans control module could be bad.

Did you check while it was hot or cold? Suppose to be at operating temp...The trans, not the engine. You can't really just start your truck and let it get up to temp. It must be driven a little to warm the transmission up so you can properly check the fluid.

When was the last time you did preventive maintenance and changed all the fluid and filters?

I think that's part of the problem had it flushed a few months ago and had a problem with the converter draining ended up changing the return line from the cooler and seemed to fix it and yes they checked the filters after reading a post from here I showed them

Default Me Too!

I have changed the pressure sensor 3 times, 2 solenoid packs, and a valve body. And yes new filters, correctly installed.

Still no help. As soon as the trans gets up to operating temp it goes into limp mode. Always sets P0700 & P0876.

Anyone have any ideas? I have a 12 Ga., just can't decide what part to shoot first.

when you get a p0700 you are normally looking at a replacement or rebuild
