Quick question for those with lifts and off road tires
My first defense is my on board air compressor and tank with my air hose. If that doesnt work I have a plug kit. If that doesnt work I have a can of both Fix-A-Flat and Slime. If that doesnt work then I call my road side assistance.

The BFG soccer mom tires that were on my Grand Cherokee were terrible for picking up screws and nails. I ended up putting five plugs in the four tires over two years. Three were screws or nails I got up at the farm. It's a small piece of property that has had two houses and a slew of out-buildings on the land over the last 100 years or so, not to mention that it used to be common to just take garbage out and burn it, so I'm sure that's left some nice metal pieces around. One other one was a good size screw I got on the highway on the way camping. The TPMS caught that one and let me drive slowly to a rest stop where I pulled and plugged it. The fifth was the last straw with those tires, I had a dried cotton stalk pierce the tire and break off in it. Plugged that one and bought the Nittos less than two weeks later.
Interestingly, in about six trips to the farm since the Nittos and a good three dozen or so trips up there with the truck over the years and I've yet to have anything pierce all the way thru either sets of those tires...
