i have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4 i recently purchased. after 1000 miles noticed whining noise when accelerating only...after reading forums i assumed it was rear pinion bearings, so had all bearings/races seals etc. replaced. ring/pinion was in great shape as well. we jack it up and put in gear to lube gears etc. before driving and noticed the noise again...but finally noticed it does NOT do it in 1st gear at all. 2nd is slightly noisy but finally 3rd gear shift and there is the noise and slight vibration..worsens at acceleration. im told its the 2nd - 3rd gear planetaries?? it shifts fine thru all gears and does not shutter or slip...??? any ideas is appreciated..thanks
