Default RE: Exhaust Recommendation?

I am haveing a flowmaster 40 series installed today on my Hemi. I hope I am happy because there is no turning back, I pick it up tomorrow. It sounds like the Corsa is a much better quality? Does it really sound that much better? Because I was wanting a deep mild loud sound. I don't want raspy either. I'll let you know what its like in a couple of days.

The Daytona I just bought came from the factory with a Borla Cat-Back and it sounds real good and the quality is top-notch. My $02.

Corsa IS much much better quality than flowmaster. thing is....a complete flowmaster catback system will run you on average no more than 400 bucks.....the Corsa RSC Sport catback (mine) is impossible to find cheaper than around 750. Corsa direct wants 804.95 for the system.

The Corsa Touring system is another 100 bucks more and quiets the tone down a little bit on the upper rpm side.

Corsa is hands down one of the TOP exhaust manufacturers...no one will disagree on that. Flowmaster and magnaflow are affordable and thats all....yea they are loud...but they sound boring...IMO.

the Corsa isnt so much "raspy"....but it is deep and broken up sounding at low idle and cruising....and loud and obnoxious but "tight" and almost exotic at high rpm.

the best part about the corsa that no other manufacturer can really say is that there is NO drone AT ALL at any rpm and speed. I cannot hear the exhaust at 60mph/70/80/90 droning in the cab with all the windows up and no radio....very nice feature.

and the tips can be blackened and sprayed with dirt for a month or two without being cleaned and you can put your finger and wipe away to a shine...they are like mirrors....definitely worth the money.

05ramlaramie: Thanks for the input. I'll definitely keep all this in mind when I get around to having something done to my exhaust system.

start with hacking the resonator off and have a muffler shop put some pipe back on. If not loud enough go with the big boys. Don't buy a system on the net when a muffler shop can give you a welded system for half the price.
