Default Rear Lift Blocks - Help

I put 1.5 inch rough country rear lift blocks on 3 days ago, the ones that come in their 3 inch suspension lift for the 2wd. Today I found out that one had cracked down the middle, the other cracked through in 2 spots. A serious safety hazard. They were cast steel I believe. Today i got another pair from a mechanic I know that he had that were iron. Put them on, got home, one is now cracked through as well. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?! the first pair i torqued to 100lbs the second to 90lbs. How do i keep cracking these things? that second pair was not cheap **** ones like the rough countrys.

can you tell if you cracked them while torquing the bolts? Cast steel is going to crack, not bend, so you have to be careful torquing them.

They make poly and ceramic blocks, might look into them. Probably in the $25 range
