Default Definitive answer required for 5.7 pushrod lengths.

I've recently been reading some posts (on another well known forum) about the 5.7 pushrod lengths both intake and exhaust, on an 03 5.7 Hemi.
I'm now soooo confused???

I have an 03 stock Hemi that I'm about to upgrade the valve springs on.
Whilst I'm in there, I intend to swap out the pushrods as well as the spring retainers and the valve seals, to do a nice little top end refurb and hopefully eliminate the dreaded 03 dropped valve syndrome

My question is.....I read in the past that 6.1 springs are the way to go for an upgrade thats *******ly bullet proof on a stock engine, along with upgrading to 6.1 intake and exhaust pushrods to complete the process.
On that premis, I bought the 6.1 springs and pushrods to do the job.

I have recently read several posts whereby I'm now questioning myself on the 6.1 pushrod upgrade as people are saying they are too long.

Can anyone please give me a definitive answer as to if 6.1 intake and exhaust pusshrods are suitable and will not cause problems on a 5.7 stock Hemi??

Many thanks,

Al.

everyone pretty much on here and other dodge ram sites who have done any head or cam work, myself included, have used 6.1 push rods and never not once had any issues.

If your not upgrading to an aftermarket Cam with smaller base Circle (hence longer Rods Required) then you don't need them, but if Weed say they work fine then go for it. Maybe it will take the Hemi Tick away.

Yeah see.....it's the whole issue revolving around the stock cam I'll be still using.
Most as you say, upgrade their cams at the same time.
I believe Weed has a cam upgrade?
I guess the rods won't be too long that they will cause binding when used with a stock cam?
Will the hydraulic lifters just compensate by being squashed that small bit more?
