Hello I'm new to this forum, just moved to az don't have to many friends I am looking to have some fun with my truck and a project to do ... Looking for a lift kit for my 2008 ram 1500 sxt (2wd). I don't know where to start though. I want to add maybe 4 inches? Front and back. I don't wan to level it though. Can someone please guide me? Thanks for all the help!

Simple coil over front, leaf rear. Many decent kits out there that are not terribly expensive. HOWEVER, all suspension lift kits also level the vehicle (to my knowledge, although I have to admit as someone who's owned seven full size 4x4 pickups and not a single 4x2, I'm not up on 2WD kits).

You may want to opt for a simple 3" body lift kit, which will bring the entire truck up 3" and keep the "rake". Best part is, these kits are readily available and cost under $400. You want to go up that extra inch down the road, then it's a simple matter to install a couple 1" coil spacers and/or 1" lift blocks over the leafs in the rear as well...
