Door lock problem

My door locks are all working when the ignition is on and doors are closed. When I open the door, or turn off the ignition they will not work automatically. They don't work with the key fob either. It is really annoying. Can anyone help with this one?

sounds like a new ignition switch is needed to me. It determines whether you have power at certain positions of the switch (on, off, acc)
