03 Hemi Misfiring
Changed out map and o2 sensors as well as fuel pump, no improvement. It doesnt idel or misfire all the time comes and goes. Seems that after it warms up is when it happens more. Gonna take it to the dealer on Monday see what they say.
Im hoping to get my 2007 back tomorrow it appears to be a bad lifter or so I've been told, I havent seen any paperwork yet just dealing with the service writer but it seems to be a common problem with these hemi's I had the same issue but seemed to worse when the engine was cold then when shut down and sat for 10min or so and restarted it was fine and my check engine light also was flashing so im hoping its only the lifter and will write tomorrow with the final info good luck!
With it being an '03, I'm inclined to think it's a valve spring myself. At least that's where I'd start.
'07 wouldn't be a spring (I would doubt, starting with the early '04s these were beefed up quite a bit). Lifters aren't a real common problem with the Hemi or 4.7, at least no more than any other V8 out there, but it's possible. Hoping so anyway, so you can get your truck back in good order. A lifter is an easy enough fix...

Well its all fixed and runing like a champ once again! They replaced four lifters and seems that was the problem, I was a little dissapointed it took them 7 days but thankfull it was covered under my warranty going to do an oil change and switch the plugs out just as a precautionary step hope my info can help thanks to all that posted
If the dealer changed the lifters, check the work order because they more than likely changed the oil as well. When you pull the heads to get to the lifters, you'll more than likely get some coolant in with the oil so they probably just normally change the oil while they're at it.
Question for you though...if the lifters were bad, was it making a lot of noise?

Sweet you got her up and running.
I wonder how the OP issue turned out?
My 04 also had 4 lifters replaced within the first 10k. Actually the only mechanical failure to be replaced under factory warranty.

Yes it had a nice knocking sound that was intermitent along with the misfiring being intermitent, I gather the hyd lifters were collapsing and thats when the knocking started and it did make the most noise when it was first started but the weird thing is when it was shut down after a short trip and sat maybe 5-10 min when restarted it was fine! Oh and now I just tried the A/C and its not working just checked all the connections and fuse all seems to be in order so guess i'll be calling the dealer once again just not sure if it is coincidence or if they messed something up!
I wonder if that's what happened to yours?
