just put the efan in my 2002 ram 1500 4.7 and had to remove the washer container and now i have two problems one the low washer light is on and the container is full and checked both plugs and are tight and the e fan keeps kicking on and off after i shut the truck off i wired it directly to the battery so it would run a little after i shut the truck off and i put a adjustable relay on it so i can set the temp do you think i have the temp too low help is greatly appreciated.
You might have messed up the plug or sensor, maybe it just got wet and needs to dry out. As for the fan, you will need to find a source/wire coming out of the fuse box that is on only when the ignition is on and then wire the controller into it, there should be a specific wire on the controller for this.
I have a flexalite e fan and it cuts on when my truck is off,was told that was normal.
It only cuts on and off maybe twice but once it reaches a certain temp it is good to go.

If you follow their installation instructions that's what you are supposed to do. The idea is that the fan will continue to run & cool the engine after you cut the truck off until the temp comes down.
I originally installed mine that way, but found myself hanging around, outside and waiting for it to shut off. It worked fine, but I didn't trust it I guess, so I switched power to a keyed source so it shuts off when I shut the truck off.
YES there is a little temp spike right when you turn the truck off and the fan stops, but I have a 180* thermostat, so even when the fan immediately shuts off I doubt I'm reaching the stock running temp anyway...
E fans pull a LOT of current. I wouldn't want mine on at all with the truck off. After all, the stock fan stops when the engine does.
This is my second flexalite fan and I have never had any problems, considering it only cuts on once or twice and I have an optima battery I don't for see any problems.
