So on to the next discussion...I think I'll go with 295/65/20 and avoid most of the problems. But for the sake of yappin, I could put a larger spacer on and go with a wider tire if desired, right?

You could yeah. I'm not a fan of spacers, I've seen them fail and not just off road. I have a friend had one to go on him going 'round an off ramp in the middle of Atlanta. But that was 11 years ago. They say the hub centric ones are reliable, but just the same, I'd go with a wheel with the proper backspacing/offset before I'd do a spacer myself. There are some real good wheels with 4.25"-4.5" backspacing (negative offset) that won't break the bank. The Soft 8s have been a Jeeper off-road staple for years, have great strength and the last ones I bought for a Wrangler I had were just over $50 a pop new in the box (of course that was 15", I think the 17s in black are around $75). It's the big honkin' 20s and larger that kill performance, off-road ability and towing capacity that everyone just has to have that cost thru the a$$...

With 3" of body alone the 295/65/20s at roughly 35" x 11.5" would go fine and if you added the 2" of level would give decent room for some flex. I tend to like the wider stance a good backspaced wheel gives, but you'll have no problems...

I like that wider stance too...and wider tires as well. Problem is, I like the stock wheels (I know you hate em hammer!) and it's proving difficult to get all of the above.

Now my decision is down to 35x12 with 3" of body vs 35x12.5+ with 3" of body lift and a bigger spacer. I also get wider tires and stance this way... :/ and the uncertainty/potential probs with spacers

So I'm 99.9% sure you guys know more BUT Zone offroad is telling me I can fit 12.5" tires with the 3" body lift they have. I'm thinking they're idiots but they say it on descriptions of the lift and said the same thing when I called. I would be of the same thought as Hammer...that a body lift wouldn't add any clearance in terms of width. It does say it'll clear 33x12.5 and I'm wanting 35x12.5...that shouldn't make a difference either, right?

You will NOT fit anything x 12.5" with stock width. And you can fit 33's stock anyway. Hell they come stock on the 20's.

Get you that lift, and when you don't clear 35x12.5s call Zone and see what they say. You ain't clearing 35x12.5" wide tires on a coil over IFS Ram on stock wheels without spacers, period... I suppose it's possible 33" tires may not quite be tall enough to reach the A-arm, but 35s are and will hit 'em every time...
