Default Strange wire

So I recently bought a used 2006 1500 Laramie and I was looking under the driver side dash and I saw a random wire hanging. It was zip tied to another wire, I think the hood release cable and it was a brown wire. On the end was a red wire that was attached with some heat shrink. I also saw another wire, I'm assuming it was a ground wire because it was black and attached to some metal that was also randomly cut. I took some pictures with my phone but they are horrible. I couldn't find my camera so when I do I will post some pictures.

I have no idea what they are or where they go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pics would def help.
If it's a conector, there are lots taped up unused. If it's a cut wire, could be aftermarket anything???

Ok so I couldn't find my actual camera so all I had was the pictures from my phone.

It is a horrible picture. It's hard to get under there and take the picture. So the red wire is obviously a power wire and it is attached to a brown wire. And then the ground. I had one of my friends look at it last night and he said it must be from an aftermarket stereo but it just seems weird because the stock radio works just fine.

I dont see what it would go on a aftermarket stereo. only thing it *could* be is a remote wire that went to an amp, but it wouldnt be grounded.

Best thing to do is track the red wire to where ever it goes. It also could have been a power wire hooked to a switch that he ran LED lights or something like that.

Ok thanks. I will check it out when I get home. As far as I can tell now it goes up towards the stereo and I tested it and it still has power.

Ok so I got the dash apart and took a couple of pictures. Here you can see the brown wire.

It's attached to a blue and yellow wire. It's one of the AC controls.

Here's another shot that has more of the wire.

I was wondering what those two spare plugs are for? They were just set in the molding. I'm assuming it's for different types of AC controls and what not.

So I've hooked up my share of amps but I've never seen someone tap into the AC control for power. Is that even a safe source?
