alignment...concentric...huh?
Hello,
Both front tires on my 04 Ram has excessive wear on the outside edge. I got a set of good used tires and went to get an alignment. The shop said that it was due to camber, toe-in. They said they cannot align it because they need a kit that contains a concentric to get everything set to spec. They said that the factory doesn't come with this and that I need it. They also said that Ford's are the same deal on this. I wouldn't think that the factory would do this, but then again...strange things happen. I will also mention that I bought the truck used and that the dealer did say that it had a front end accident and that they needed to replace some suspension parts on it. I cannot remember exactly what parts. The thing has no wobble or pull or anything that feels hinky. Just wears the tires like I mentioned. Does the shop's solution sound plausable? They have always seemed honest to me and they have a good reputation around here.
Thanks.

Feeling a bit dumber than usual...I guess I meant eccentric, not concentric. Found an older thread about camber adjustment and ball joints. The shop said it would be $50 per side to install these so they can get everything adjusted properly. Sometimes the old noodle just don't think so good. HA! Anyway, hoping to get alignment squared away tomorrow.
