How to lower the rear
I think lifting the front enough to level the truck would be problematic, from what I have read anything over 1.5" with rings would require new shocks and anything near level would mean a whole lot more time and expense.
I am thinking to raise the front with 1" spring spacers and lowering the back with 2" drop shackles. Both look like pretty simple installs - and cheap(ish). I was then going add bags to keep it level while towing (either manually adjustable externally or using a cab adjustable compressor system. My aim is a level truck with stock or better handling, i dont want to compromise handling at all.
Electric Leveller FIP-2158 $175
Load Lifter 5000, AIR-57215 $225
Daystar KC09103BK 1.5" Coil Spring Spacers $ 80
2" Drop shackles SUM-G748 $ 90
I'm sure I can find most of this a little cheaper on eBay, those prices were from SummitRacing
I have a 06 2wd 2500 MegaCab, Cummins, not sure if those shackles are man enough, anyone got any good tips for 2500 shackles ? I see the Ground Force ones mentioned earlier but they were for 94-01 so I dont know if they will fit the 06
Yea i leveled my truck but it's still a little nose down by about .08 of an inch! so I was thinking of getting the shackles to make it pre runner. This and some black teflon wheels with a/t tires should look sweet.
Does anyone have any knowledge of anyone lowereing/levelling a 06 2wd 2500 Diesel Megacab, I cant seem to find any suitable drop shackles, plenty for the 1500 but none for the 2500 - and i'm not sure if the Megacab would be any different to the quad cab
as far as 2wd suspension a site with a good selection would be www.slammed1.com
