I have developed an odd knock in the front end of my truck (07 1500 MegaCab SFA) when hitting small bumps or sometimes washboard in gravel. At times it seems like a knock or a heavy rattle. The really odd part is that it comes through the throttle pedal, nothing else. Nothing through the steering wheel, brake pedal, only the gas pedal. Had an alignment done, no change to the clunk. Ideas?

Here here,, same truck same problem, but I can also feel it in the steering wheel too.

 

If you can feel it in the steering wheel, then check your lower steering shaft. Mine was loose to the point that I can grab a hold of it, and I could feel it move. I got that replaced, and the knock went away.

 

Intresting, i also have a similar problem with my MC, especially noticable when driving bumpy dirt roads is a loose almost rattly feeling in my gas and brake pedal! I recently had a mechanic give the front end a good going over and replace any worn or bad parts! $1700 dollars later, its still there!
