Default CB Radio in a Ram

I'd like to put a CB in my truck, but I want it to be as unobtrusive as possible, both inside and out. Id rather not have a massive antenna waving around on top of the truck. I was wondering who else has a CB installed in their trucks and how they have them setup. Any ideas for a "stealth" setup? Pics of your own setups would be great as well, to give me ideas. My truck is an '05 Ram 1500 QC 4x4.

thanks

I had the same question about 3 weeks ago. I went out to take pictures of mine, and discovered my camera batteries were dead, so maybe in an hour they'll be charged up so I can finish what I started.

Here's how I did mine. I'm only 5'7" tall, and like to be closer to the pedals than most people my size, but still have plenty of room between my knee and the radio (at least 4").

The antenna was another concern for me. I didn't want to drill any holes in my new truck, so I mounted my fiberglass antenna on my toolbox. I used a piece of 1" square tubing as a spacer to keep the toolbox lid from hitting the antenna when it's open, and there's plenty of room between the antenna and back window.

I ran the coax cable through the bottom of the stake pocket in the bed, down along the parking brake cable up to the driver's side front fender. There it goes up between the fender and door, through a grommet that is next to the parking brake pedal. Just pop the kick panel off next to the pedal, cut a hole in the insulation and pull the cable through. No need to drill through the firewall or pull out carpet to get the cable inside.

Well, I've mounted an antenna without any problems. Still not happy with my options for mounting the CB. Under the steering wheel is still a little too much in the way for my liking. i'd like to mount it in the floor between the foldout cup holders and the center console. Still need an idea of how to do this however. Id like to do it without drilling at all. I was able to install the antenna without having to drill a thing.
