Default Anybody replaced an a.p.p.s.?

A couple months ago I described a situation as a "slip" so everyone insisted I had a tranny issue. Positive I have an electronic issue of some sort, no codes being thrown and have returned truck to stock and problem still exists. Replaced TB(TPS) and problem still here.

Truck idles around 600, from a stop hit the pedal at 1000 truck bogs/hesitates and then jumps to 1500. I can re-create this exact issue sitting still with foot on brake, bring rpm's up to 1000 and they will jump between 1000-1500 non stop. My next plan is to replace accelerator pedal position sensor, which I believe entails the whole pedal assembly being replaced and is a dealer only costly part.

I did stop at a dealer yesterday, and a tech drove my truck and agreed with the electronic possibility but wants to "investigate thoroughly" which can be costly at my expense.

Any other thoughts, or comments on replacing apps?

Thanks guys.

Man, I hate to see anything bad happen to a fellow Ram owner but even worse to another Mega Brother. Good luck man, I hope its something cheap and stupid.

Thanks brother. Yeah, I don't mind spending a little money on my truck, but easter egg hunts frustrate me.

Well, I say let them have it. And when they call and say we think we have found the problem, then you ask is this a guess or a fix? Then if they say a guess, you tell them that's fine, but if it doesn't work than that money for that part will be credited back to you. Keep this possess up, and tell them they wouldn't want you guess with their money. I had to do this a week after we bought our '08. It would smoke and bog down. A few trips to the shop and an oil consumption test done, problem found. It was the the PCV valve.
