I recently got a PCM and harness, but I haven't been able to try it yet.

I haven't been in a hurry to try this because the truck is my driver. Maybe down the road I'll look into doing it when I have another vehicle to use.

Welcome to DF

Hey Hemi, you need to be a member to see that link. maybe copy paste what you can? Just quote the member.

I do know that weedaoe has gone over some things and Dodge def. changed the wiring harness..i.e.pin locations. Meaning they added/changed just a few connections. 03to05 is a PIA because 05 has more wires. 05to03 is a better possibility but still challenging.

Long story short, dude did an 04 4.7 to 05 5.7 conversion, harness, PCM and all.

yeah i spent many long nights going over electrical schematics and pin outs. I bought an 05 PCM and harness for 250 from a member who rolled and totalled his truck. i was going to put it in my 04 so i could have more TCM control with my Diablo CMR. However, i later had a revelation i was dropping to much money in my truck trying to get it to go super fast when everything else like my lift, rims and tires was working against me. So i sold it for what i paid for it.

However, as long as you have the 05 harness and a non security PCM (uses a black key and not a grey one) you will be fine
