Good luck man. Utilize craigslist. You may can sell tge brushguard to pay close to all of the hidden winch. I had a buddy that worked at big 10, and I got mine for their price plus ten dollars, like 390, I believe. The winch I bought off craigslist as a 'burned up' unit that only needed solenoids for 40 bucks

Well I know I can get a new Hunter Bull Bar for like $100 plus about $40 freight and they look pretty good, but I still ain't too keen about spending $140 just to hack it apart.

I have a good buddy in Georgia whose family has a HUGE pick 'n pull junkyard. Since I'm gonna hack & weld it on, it doesn't really need to be made for a Grand Cherokee and I'm thinking maybe I can find one on a totalled vehicle that got rear ended or t-boned.

This is my Jeep with the receiver hitch and cradle winch on it:

This is also where the brushguard would mount, and ya cant fit both. This comes as a slight disadvantage because you lose a bit of the strength of the tow hooks, but then again, with the 8000 pounder and steel wire rope, I havent needed tow hooks. I also have a high capacity winch that holds fifty more feet of cable, and had to notch the back of the mount to make it fit. I love it. To heck with a brushgaurd.
Hey quick question. i just bought a 2002 dodge ram 4x4 QC sport. What tow hooks do you speak of? I have been looking everywhere for tow hooks to install and it seems no one has them for the 2002 model. So i though about adding that hidden winch (this topic) since I could not find tow hooks.

So do you have tow hooks on your 2002? and/or do you have the hidden winch mount (http://www.desertrat.com/products/?id=3286) and how easy was it to install?

its looks like yours are welded on. Although I have a welder (flux core) I guarantee its not going to do the trick and I am not that great at welding. Do you know of any bolt on hooks or drings for a 2002 Dodge Ram QC 1500 Sport 4X4?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bolt-on-D-ri...-/300659009417

You can custom fit those to the frame/bumper mounts. Then weld them for added security
