Default Headlights on with Remote Start, want off

Place that installed my remote start(Python 413) wired it to have headlights on. I found the wire going to remote start is tied into the white w/green strip wire off back of headlight switch.

Anyone know which wire I need to tie into for parking lights only? Trying to look in the Ram service manual but pulling my hair out.

I'd take it back to installer but just don't have time.

You are going to have to change the resistor for parking light only.

I saw the resistor in the wire. What resistor would be needed to activate parking lights only? Truck is a 2004

From a car alarm install thread, haven't tried it. I've got the factory remote start that I installed myself and would like to do the same thing, I'm not a fan of the headlights coming on with it, seems unnecessary when the parking lights would do. Let me know how it works out if you take this on. I've looked into this before, but put it on the back burner when I realized there wasn't a separate wire for the parking lights.

"Parking lights require a negative trigger thru a 330 or 1.4K ohm resistor. Headlights require a negative trigger thru a 1.8K ohm resistor. There is a rest resistance on the wire, so MUST use a relay to isolate away from the switch."

Ok messed with this today and got it figured out. It had a 330 Ohm resistor wired in. That triggered headlights and parking lights.

Tried 470 Ohm - Activates Parking lights and Foglights

Tried 1000 Ohm - Activates Parking, Headlights and Fog Lights

Winner was 220 Ohm - Only parking lights.

Radio Shack for the win.

Will this work for a stock remote start system from the factory?
