Cranked Torsions from the dealer?
Kind of an odd question here, but when I bought my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 hemi back in 2007 it only had 20k miles on it. I bought the truck and later noticed that the drivers side front was lower (had less wheel well showing) than the passenger side. I had a warranty on it so I took it back to the dealer and they asked me if the truck had ever been in an accident. I said, I hope not because I just bought it here a couple of weeks ago and they said it was accident free.
Basically, they said someone had messed with the "ride height adjustment" and they generally only see if that it was involved in an accident. They corrected the driver's side and now my truck is pretty level. I'm wondering if they did a torsion bar crank on this thing, or is there some other "ride height adjustment"?
Attaching a picture, my truck is closest in the picture and you can see a newer Dodge Ram in the background with the standard factory rake. You can really tell a difference. Both are 4x4's, and not sure what year the newer Ram is.

Thanks for the response Hammer. Having lurked on the forums quite a while now, that was the only logical explanation and it looked like the truck had been 'leveled' as I don't see that 'factory rake' others describe. Either way, I'm certainly glad the dealer cranked up to match the other side and not down. Yeah, I wonder how the passenger side got cranked up, but who knows... I guess who cares as well, I currently have 82k on this truck and haven't had a major issue yet. Still loving the hemi power.
Just keep an eye on your front shocks, if the truck is leveled it will over-extend the shocks quite often on anything over mild bumps and will wear them out quite quickly. You can probably get away with the stockers for a while, but eventually you will have to get longer shocks up front.
You could extend the life of the stockers by using shock extension brackets, but for the cost of the the extensions, I'd just ride the stockers till they are shot and replace them.
I have a short list of shock part numbers for lifted 3rd Gen Rams in the FAQ. I also have a set of ProComp ES3000 shocks that should be about the perfect length I just put up for sale in the classified section for $20 a piece...
