My grandfather recently bought a 2002 1500 and it has a mount on the pillar (with a motorola logo) and coming out of the dash there is a three wires, (seems to be a small power adapter, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a pink one) I have no idea what it was for. anyone ever see something like it? Sorry for the bad pics I took them at night.

 

I think that's a 2way mount and that pink wire may have been for external antenna. Possibly a cell phone. Nice to see I'm not only CT member here

 

its for a universal xm radio the pink connection is the xm antenna

 

Ok, thanks. I've seen a couple members with 2nd gens in CT, I don't spend enough time on the 3rd gen side to say if I've seen any.

 

IDK about a sat radio, I have had both Sirius and XM, and none of the radios or mounts were either stamped "Motorola" or had a pink antenna plug. My guess is that it is for some sort of car kit for a cell phone.
