Default 05 Ram Hood Question

Can anyone tell me if their 05 ram has the insulation on the bottom side of their hood. My 05 didn't come with it and I was wondering if it should have. Also without it, will it cause problems for the paint on the hood?

No they do not. If you look at all new cars these days very few have insulation. The last two firebirds (93 and 97) I have had did not have any and that V8 was stuffed in there to, never had an issue. The Ram will be OK, has a very large grill for air flow.

nope mine dont have it. My 2000 Dakota didnt either had it over 5 years without any problems except keeping the engine compartment clean. The big grill in front is great for air flow but does let in alot of road grime.

my 05 is like the others, no insulation either. Also, my dads 97 F150 does not have it. So, it is not just a dodge thing.
