lift for my 2004 ram 1500
35s with a 3 in BL and leveld out and there will be no rubbing , how tall do you want it or do you just want 35s ? also no wheel spacers either , did you say if you had wheels too , your offset will determine the rub on the inside when turned at full lock
really? thats good to hear, i might do that then and see how it looks. my truck sits pretty high as it is, i parked next to my buddies 09 silverado with a 3" lift and 35's(i think) and i sit just as high as he does, so maybe it'll work without doing anything. thanks for the input.
only problem with a rough country torsion lift is stressing torsion bar will stiffen your ride by putting you very close to your bump stop, cv joints will wear more quickly due to the angle they ride at. and ya you squeezed your 35's in but barely if you did flex youd hit your rear fender from what i see in your picture not that torsion does much flexxing youd be rubbing let alone with 12.5 or wider tires usually law requires mud flaps and/or fender flares and youd have to get mud flap extensions to put them lower/further back. and of course a 2500 will fit 35's, lifts on straight axle suspensions are as easy in comparison (1500 mega cab is also straight axle front end)as a higher coil/leaf spring and only moderate experience to do yourself, or a less desirable spacer as in the rear increase your chances of axle wrap. id avoid a torsion level kit unless you want quick wearing cv joints and ball joints, and about lifts being a grand the ones for a grand are very cheap for 4wd although 2wd are simpler kits(ie rough country) or and without warranty usually id pay the extra for pro comp or bds as their warranty doesnt even matter how long after or who owns the vehicle, but at the same time factor in about a grand for labour unless your quite skilled 4-6 inch lifts on independant front suspension like strusts or torsion are particularly hard to do, and you require alignment after...as for 2 wd shouldnt be hard to do 2 inch lift they are just a spacer or larger coils in the front and spacer or extra leaf in the back larger has a longer spindle in the front...but if you must do the level lift usually its about 150 for the keys but then you need a special tool to switch them out, or couple hours of shop time at suspension shop.
ps 2 grand is rather high for 3 inch lift on solid axle maybe its cause were in canada but i work at my step dads suspension shop in brandon manitoba, but rear end for any truck is 450-500, front is about cost of coils usually 400-500 and 2 hours labour bout 160 more for the front, and thats all done, a 4-6 kit is only bit over 3 from bds or procomp unless you got all the extras (ie track bar, dual shocks, dual steering stabalizer shock brackets and shocks) before labour that is, unless you get like a carli suspension kit which is double that
