Default MOPAR HOAT anti-freeze coolant.

Due to the Fiat connection to Dodge, It's increasingly difficult/impossible to get parts and fluids from my local dealers here in the UK. Fiat are introducing a new stock/ordering system to the Chrysler/Dodge range over here in Europe and it's causing massive delays to orders etc.

I am in desperate need of some MOPAR HOAT anti-freeze. but my local supplier just cannot get the stuff for the reason mentioned above.
It's been on back order here in the UK, since September???

So, all I can get at present is a new style high quality 5 years maintenance OAT anti-freeze.

I know that the Hybrid Organic HOAT anti-freeze's was brought in for there extended maintenance life. But I believe that the new OAT anti-freeze now incorporates this extended life.

So my question is......can I add this new OAT anti-freeze with my MOPAR HOAT coolant.

I would of course get the propper stuff, but I just can't at present and I'm desperate.

Can anyone advise please???

Al.

I just had to replace the radiator in my Jeep, also calls for HOAT. My buddy at the dealership told me to get Zerex G-05, perfectly compatible and approved by both Ford and Chrysler for all internal radiator material including aluminum.

I would imagine you can find that over there...

Install went fine, burped it and all, no leaks. But the Jeep wants to run about 10* hotter than with the stock radiator. It will settle in there and not go any higher, but I ain't thrilled with it being a 4.7 and all. I'm thinking more lines or larger diameter in the stocker than this Advance Auto $143 lifetime radiator has, dunno, but the Mopar one was $390 and I didn't have the coin...

I am going out to pickup stuff today to service my differentials and my radiator. My plan is to buy the zerex g-05. It is supposedly manufacturer approved for dodge. If you can find some over there, use it. I would stick with hoat.

Cheers guys.
I managed to source a supply of G-05.
It's manufactured by a company called Comma and they do an ATF for my transmission as well.
So.......the stealership and their problems of supply, can swivel lol.
Thanks for the help.

When my heater core went out I ended up flushing the whole system and running straight water for a few weeks until i was sure the leak was fixed. Then i filled the whole thing back with prestone 5 year. I figured since it was all clear it wouldnt hurt not having the hoat.

The fact that you didn't mix two types I think you'll be fine as long as the Prestone is approved for aluminum core radiators...
