Hi all,,newb here,lol. Yes,,I've worn the search button out!! I have a 2003 Quad cab SLT,elec 4x4 switch on the dash. The truck has sat for around 4 years being run here and there to keep things lubed up. The 4x4 has always worked like a DREAM,,as with the rest of this beauty!! { I was a GM guy till this truck changed me! }} Anyhow,,switch it to 4h,and just as it ALWAYS has,,the light comes on,,but no engagement. What I've read,,my collar IS moving to engage the light,,Correct? Which I assume to mean,,vacuum is NOT my problem right? My son can help me ,one under,one in the cab,if you guys will point me in the right direction. I appreciate everything!! Thanx !

 

My son had put a new pass side complete axle in. The job took him,an hour?? Tops,,I said,everythings right?! He said as far as he knew. At any rate,,the axles broke. Was there timing marks or anything that should have been payed attention too? It's an Advanced AP axle. Easy fix,I suppose,,but if it was our fault,don't wanna do it again. And the 4x4 had worked a winter after he put the axle in?!
