Default Front Brake Hardware?

I did rear brakes last weekend, no problems. Figured out why my ebrake doesnt work, rusted solid, but thats another project for another weekend.

I got pads, rotors, and replacement hardware for the fronts for this weekend. What in the heck does the weird looking piece of hardware go to that's in the front kit? There were only the two pieces of hardware on there that the caliper slides across.

The hardware kit I have is this one:

that kit that came up just has a few extra clips depending on what your truck needs. Last time I got a kit like that at advanced they either gave me the wrong one or it was missing the correct clips, so I just reused my old ones, they were still in good condition.

Yea beats me. I didnt end up using the wierd H shaped things at all. The other parts were correct. Only had to beat one rotor with a mallet to get it off. The other popped right off. I think I need to get some speed bleeders and flush out the brake fluid. Lord only knows when the last time it was changed out. Pedal doesnt feel perfectly firm anyways. Brakes a lot nicer now without warped rotors and pads nearly down to the rivets

Did you go with the ceramic pads? I love them, ever since I put new ceramics and new rotors on I have zero brake dust. My front wheels stay nice and clean now!
