Default Missing

Took my 04 1500 Hemi in to dealer for 30,000 mile (Hendricks) service. Plugs, oil, filters, trans, ect. Got about 100 yards down road, started missing. Turned around and got worse. Dealer thought it was a cam sensor, then broke valve spring, now they say it was a piece of plastic of intake stuck in valve spring. (in valve spring?) how did it make it up there? They put new intake on. Ready to be picked up. Has anyone else seen this problem? (Sorry so long). Randy

Yea, thats what they thought it was. But they "say" It was plastic broken from intake hung up in spring. Sounds a little fishy to me. Get service and plastic gets in spring? Thanks for reply...Randy

Sounds more like someone messed up when installing the wires/plugs. Straight BS on what they told you. Ask for the plastic they took out of the valve springs. Just think, for it to get to the valve springs it would either have to enter the cylinder and get around the valve seal or through the oil. Considering that they (the valves) have a seal around them and the only way out is through the exhaust, not likely. Another route would be through the oil, but it would have to make it through the passages...Hmmmm, straight BS.

They either didn't plug all the wires in good enough or crossed wires. If they crossed wires, they'd have thrown a code. Sooooo, that being said, I would believe that they didn't make sure all of the wires were secured and pushed on to the plugs/coils all the way.

As noted, pure unadulterated BS!

I'd suggest you seriously consider taking your truck elsewhere (anywhere but there) next time!
