Well i got my new wheels the other day and i've been trying to figure out what tires i want. So i know about how tall of a tire i can go with no lift/level but my question is what is the widest i can go? The wheels i got are 18x9 with a 5.71 backspace with a +18 offset. They would be going on a 06 2WD stock suspension.Does getting it leveled affect the width of the tire you can do or just the hieght?

 

The high amount of backspacing and positive offset will greatly influence (reduce) the width of the tire. I'd guess maximum width is going to be about 11"...

I was thinking about doing a 285/65/18 (11.2") but was wondering if i did a 2" level if i could fit 295/70 18. Was gonna get the tires tomorrow so i'm trying to decide. It's just that i want to get it right,don't want to spend $1200.00 and not be happy with how it looks.Was originally gonna do a 275/70/18 but the tire manufacturing websites say on that size tire that a 8.5" wheel is the biggest they allow for that size tire. If anyone is running the 285/65/18's how do you like them?

 

if you do the leveling kit, 295's will fit with minimul or no rubbing
