Hemi Swap electrical issues
So I have a thread going in the 2 Gen section about my Hemi swap but I figured I would post a question here with all you 3 Gen guys.
I have an 03 hemi in my Ram last week the truck was cranking fuel pump cycling but the factory security alarm was engaged. I finally disengaged the factory alarm but before I got that taken care of the truck stopped cranking and the fuel pump stopped cycling when the key is on. I checked all fuses and swapped around my relays. my # 21 22 and 23 fuses were blown I replaced all three but it still won't crank. All help is appreciated I have checked all grounds and I have checked the battery and posts everything is fine. I am stumped

Generally, on most newer vehicles, the cluster-key-pcm must all match or else the vehicle will go into lockout mode which activates anti-theft and deactivates the fuel pump.
I'm not sure on exactly what you have as you don't state such as enhanced harness, 03 computer...etc

Hey thanks. Everything is off the same truck I bought rolled well over a year ago. it is the stock harness with the stock PCM stock PDC and stock Dash out of the same truck. I had the computer shipped off and the SKIM removed. The link in my sig is for the swap thread. If it helps to read that.
I was told by the guy I bought the truck from that it had been running pior to me buying it but he had stripped off all the auxiliaries so I had no way to test the theory. The roll over was not a bad one.

The newer vehicles have alot of canbus wiring and if there isn't communication for ceetain items or if they aren't hooked up it can cause certain issue's. I dont think it would cause your running issue, but just a heads up is all. You would likely have multiple DTC codes(internal) if that were the case and can only be checked by a DTC specific scanner. My basic scanner will only pick up basic DTC's and not internal one's like my Cortex does.
Only thing i can think is that if you had burnt fuses, there is some kind of open wire/open ground issue.
Check the fuse panel under the hood. Anyway you didn't notice if there was corrosion? 02-05's had fuse panel corrosion issue's on the underside that would cause all kinds of electrical gremlins.

pretty much he had stripped everything he could take off in two bolts or less.
I had to buy an APPS, AC compressor, Alternator Air hat, TCM, ECM, and I still have to get a Purge solenoid for the emissions system. I will check the panel and check for wires that are grounding out.
