Default 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 Front Brake Problem (Reinstallation)

I took the front brakes off no problem. Had the rotors resurfaced.

Lubed up the appropriate areas (contact points)

When I go to reinstall the brake pads back into the bracket, they won't go back in!! I've even tried to put the old ones back in, no dice.

Whats going on here??!?!

The type of clips are like the ones seen here

Did you gently push the piston back into the calipers?

Its the sides of the pads themselves. It's like the clips at the ends of the pads are to big, but even when attempting to get the old ones into the actual bracket, the side without the piston. Won't go in. I went this morning and bought a new hardware kit, since I tweeked the OE clips to hell yesterday and nope...nothing still.

Did you replace the hardware? Your old oem hardware may be tweaked... Most high-end pad sets come with replacement hardware.

I got it. A damn brake job shouldn't take that long lol. Anyways, everything is working fine. I did buy new clips. I bought Duralast Gold and took them back as I bought them a few months ago, they said only some of the Golds come with hardware....Didn't make sense to me...
