Default 2003 quad hemi, fuse issue for towing.

My 03 keeps blowing the left turn signal fuse for the trailer towing. Its like #46 or 47 i think. Ive heard its common for these trucks to need like 800.00 fix or something ridiculous like this to fix the issue trailer towing left signal issues but my issue seems to be different.

Most people with this issue I read that the problem arises because the fuse doesn't blow in a situation it should causing something else to go. My case the fuse is blowing, i replace the fuse and it works then blows again, the trailer is new and towed by two trucks only having an issue on the ram.. any idea or am i 800.00 in the whole?

How long does it work before it blows?

Does it work on other trailers without blowing?

how big is the fuse, and does your trailer have L.E.D. lights or bulbs?

The trailer is a basic 4pole with just regular lights NOT led. Its a basic clamshell Triton snowmobile trailer.

To my surprise I checked the fuse and its NOT blown this time.. So something else is up. The trailer itself works on my ford work truck which is confusing me. Its snowy and icey out right now so i wont be able to do any further testing till later this week, but any ideas where i should start?

Get the tester I mentioned in your other thread. If someone added the trailer connections aftermarket, you could be in for an aggravating time.

The wiring is all stock factory, which is a plus. I have one of the testers plugged into it. It has three lights, one for running, one for right signal and one for left signal, then when brake is hit they all work. So Ill test it again. When the weather clears im going to do some more testing and post back.
