Default Need advice/help on new bumper

Long story short I was in a small accident that did just enough damage to warrant a new front bumper(accident removed paint and cracked the bumper in driver side fog light hole). Its too late to call Dodge for info but does anyone know what it would cost to replace and repaint the bumper? I have a Red 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Sport and the prices I have seen are over $500 for the bumper cover, which I dont think includes painting or the filler piece below the headlights.

As an alternative, is there a decently priced after market that I could look at? I would like to upgrade to a heavier duty bumper with tow hooks and winch support but only if I can get if for about the same price as it will be to replace the OEM bumper.

Thank you

Autopartswarehouse.com has primered steel replacement bumpers for a little over $150 shipped and primered plastic bumper covers (the piece directly under the headlights) for around $70, but you'd still have to paint them. But when it's all said and done, you should be way under $500.

Try LMC too, they carry a lot of body panel parts

Thank you for the replies. Unfortunately my bumper is a sport so it is one solid piece, not the two piece model. I did find it on LMC for $300 primed plust $125 shipping so I am at $425 before painting. I am figuring I will be well above $500 before its done so I am having a hard time being willing to pay that to restore OEM functuallity. Might start looking at Iron Cross bumpers if I can get those painted.

Thanks
