Default 04 ram wont move

While driving hit the gas and had nothing. I pulled over went through all the gears nothing. Seen my engine light on. Got out pulled ground off to reset the code. Put that back on fired it up and still wont engage into any gear. Put into drive and fluttered the gas nothing. Finally 20 minutes of nothing went to neutral put it into 4 low. It barely moved not like normal. High rpms to go ten miles an hour. Got it home looked at it this morning checked fluid it was fine did t smell burnt.

Tranny?
Transfer case?
Electrical?
Any ideas please help

gotta get the code, auto parts stores will pull it for free. Rare to see a 545rfe tranny fail unless it's abused. Common to see rebuilt tranny not last long though. My guess is the code if for the transmission, hopefully just a solenoid...

Do a quick Google search on dodge ram self check engine code reader.
Our trucks have the ability to do a self scan and show the p code on the odometer.
at the moment I don't recall the exact sequences.
